Teaching subjects such as mathematics, statistics, and physics in higher education represents a significant challenge due to their high level of abstraction and cognitive demand. In this context, pedagogical innovation emerges as a key strategy to improve teaching-learning processes. This study aims to analyze the impact of innovative pedagogical practices on learning in these disciplines through a narrative review of scientific literature. The methodology was based on collecting and analyzing relevant studies from academic databases, prioritizing research on active methodologies, educational technologies, and student-centered approaches. The results show that strategies such as problem-based learning, collaborative learning, gamification, and digital tools significantly enhance motivation, participation, and understanding of complex content. Furthermore, pedagogical innovation promotes higher-order cognitive skills such as critical thinking and problem-solving. It is concluded that implementing innovative pedagogical practices not only improves academic performance but also transforms the roles of teachers and students, fostering more meaningful and contextualized learning.
