Author Guidelines

Authors interested in publishing in Imperium Académico Multidisciplinary Journal must submit their manuscripts via email to imperiumacademico2@gmail.com or through the journal’s online submission system. Only original and unpublished works will be considered, and submissions must not be under review by any other scientific journal.

The journal accepts publications in Spanish and English, provided that at least one of the authors is a native speaker or the manuscript has been professionally translated.

Manuscript format and layout

Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx), using Garamond font, size 12, with 1.15 line spacing and A4 page size.

Manuscript structure:

  • Length: between 11 and 20 pages (approximately 3,500 to 8,000 words).

  • Title: in both Spanish and English, with a maximum of 15 words.

  • Author information: must include email address, ORCID ID (e.g., https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2237-7613), and institutional affiliation.

  • Abstract: in Spanish and English, with a maximum of 240 words.

  • Keywords: between three and five, in both languages, separated by commas.

  • Body structure:

    • For research articles: Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, and Conclusions.

    • For other types of articles: Development and Conclusions.

Additional guidelines:

  • Pagination: pages must be numbered at the center of the footer.

  • Tables and figures: must be numbered in order of appearance, with titles placed above each element. Figures should be submitted in .jpg or .png format, with a maximum width of 10 cm and a file size no greater than 100 KB.

  • Footnotes: must be numbered using Arabic numerals and limited to 60 words each.

  • Appendices: should be cited in the text and placed at the end of the document.

Citation and referencing

All citations and references must follow the APA 7th edition style. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of all references. A minimum of 15 references is required, preferably from the last five years, with priority given to articles indexed in Scopus or SciELO. References must be listed alphabetically at the end of the manuscript using hanging indentation.

Reference examples:

  • Book: Last name, A. A. (Year). Book title. Publisher.

  • Journal article: Last name, A. A. (Year). Article title. Journal name, volume(issue), pp–pp.

Plagiarism policy

The editorial board uses specialized software to detect similarities and ensure the originality of submitted works.

Privacy statement

Names and email addresses provided by authors will be used exclusively for editorial purposes and will not be shared with third parties.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Privacy Statement

The identities of authors and their contributions shall be protected by the editorial team and Scientific Committee of Imperium Académico Multidisciplinary Journal (IAMJ) if a manuscript is not accepted for publication.

Articles undergoing evaluation shall not be shared or disclosed until they have been formally published, if approved. The information contained in manuscripts shall be treated as strictly confidential and shall not be used for personal purposes or for any purpose unrelated to the editorial process.

The personal data of authors, members of the Editorial and Scientific Committees, and external reviewers entered into the journal’s platform shall be used exclusively for the academic and editorial purposes declared by Imperium Académico Multidisciplinary Journal (IAMJ). Under no circumstances shall such information be disclosed to third parties or used for purposes other than those established in the journal’s editorial policies.
